In December, I found myself pulling out all of my knitting WIP's and feeling a little overwhelmed. Many of them were tucked so far into the abyss of my knitting baskets I had almost forgotten about them. I decided that it was time to start prioritizing and finishing the ones that I love.
The Adventurous Wrap by Ambah O'Brien was at the top of the list and became almost the only thing I knit on all month. The first triangle was completed earlier in the fall and I had been happily knitting the second triangle when it became clear to me.... I had to finish it! The reason for that was the yarn. I had this beautiful kit from Nice & Knit and the colours made me so happy every time I looked at how they were working up all together.
I finished it just in time to wear on Christmas Eve and have been wearing it a lot ever since. It is the perfect project to use advent calendar yarn or mini's. I'm so happy it is complete and it kicked off the start to my 2019 knitting goal which is to focus and finish WIP's.
I have finished 2 more projects since and can't wait to share those with you as well. I'm feeling super excited to streamline how many projects I am working on at a time and also let go of the ones that don't bring me joy anymore. I realized that in the last year or so, my tastes have changed a bit and that's ok.
Here's to a year of knitting exactly what I want!
